If you’re a Portland commuter and have ever contemplated trading your car for a bicycle, the next two months may just be incentive enough to finally make the switch. With multiple bridge and highway closures in July and August, the city will see the busiest road conditions in ages.
These projects begin in July, and will affect travel on I-5 North and South, I-84 East, and I-205 freeways. For those who can’t take a two month sabbatical, detailed information can be found on ODOT‘s site. There you’ll find specific dates and times of closures, as well as an interactive map that allows you to see how your personal commute might be affected.
